Pastor Beni-Christ Kibombi is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Shammah Church ofn Saint Louis (Missouri - USA). He started serving God in the capacity of Ordained Pastor in Kinshasa, D. R. Congo in 2004 after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Theology. He also has a degree in Medical Biology Science. From the age of five, Beni-Christ Kibombi was already active in the Roman Catholic Church where he was a choir member and altar boy. At the age of 12, he received the call from the Lord in a dream. He saw the Lord Jesus-Christ calling him while sitting in a french-made car. The Lord invited him to ride with Him. Obviously this dream was not approved even by his parents who were not able to discern and understand its meaning because, they thought, while Jesus-Christ was on the earth, there were no cars. However, even as a young man, he knew that this dream had something special about it so he never forgot about it. The more he grew up, the stronger he felt the urge to serve the Lord but he did not know how he would that. Around 1987, while attending a Roman Catholic School managed by the Franciscans, he decided to become a priest and join the Saint Francois of Assissis Congregation. This choice did not please his father at all and, in an effort to dissuade his son, gave him the following advice: "You can serve God in different ways, not just by becoming a priest." These words, which proved to be a good advice, remained engraved in Pastor Beni-Christ Kibombi's mind. During his first year in college in Lubumbashi (the second largest city in South-East D.R. Congo), he attended a Bible Seminar organized by "VIENS et VOIS" Church, he received Jesus-Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. He then joined Full Gospel Ministry and became active in the Youth activities. Later, he moved to the City of Bukavu (East of the Zaire - now D.R. Congo) where he joined the Spiritual Warfare Ministry and received spiritual warfare training. He also was involved with and became active in the University Bible Group in the same city until he fled the area when war started in 1996 just after graduating from college with a degree in Medical Biology Sciences. Pastor Beni-Christ Kibombi moved to Kinshasa, the Capital City, and took Computer Science Training at the University of Kinshasa. As he continued to serve God in the Church, he enrolled and graduated from College with a Bachelor's Degree in Theology in 2004. He was immediately ordained a Pastor and was appointed as Assistant Pastor in his church (the Emmanuel Shammah Church in Kinshasa, D.R. Congo) where he served until moving to the United States in July 2007. Meanwhile he met his wife, Mrs. Eugenie Kibombi and they were married in Kinshasa in January 2006 and they continue to serve God together. Mrs. Kibombi had always been involved with church work even before they met. A very humble woman who was involved in "invisible ministries" such as "Intercession" and "Church Housekeeping". They have one two-year old son. |
