» Tarry Prayers

Pastor Béni-Christ is bringing together people of all nations, races, languages into the presence of God throughout the night for prayers, worship and praises. This is a wonderful opportunity to pray earnestly for our families, our nations, our churches, and engage in warfare against the powers of darkness and destroy everything they are working against the people of God. The ennemy never sleeps and we shall not give ourselves rest until we have conquered what God has already given us, taken back what the ennemy has stolen from us, and until we have a breakthrough for our future. Please come and join us and see what our God does.

Why Tarry All Night?

Many people have asked the question, "Why pray all night? Would God only hear prayers only when they are said at night? I just want to address these questions and provide some light on this subject.

Today, the Church of Jesus-Christ, especially in the Western World, has accomplished a lot in the material realm. Unfortunately, these accomplishments have been accompanied by a decline in spiritual accomplishments. Most churches do not demonstrate the power of God. And this is the case with many christians. Churches are run with natural resources and talents instead.

In order to demonstrate the power of God, men must spent more time in 'the Presence of God'. While public prayers, in the nature of things, must be condensed and short, our private fellowship with God must not be brief. Prayers that produce powerful results are an direct result of much time spent with God. This way, when we engage in condensed or short prayers, they have power. The secret to this power lies in the length of time invested in the personal and private communion with God in secret.

Jacob could not gain the mighty victory without that all-night wrestling with God (Genesis 32:23-29). Jacob was alone, at night, in the dark valley of the Jebbok. He was afraid of meeting his older brother Esau. Then he was afraid of Laban (Genesis 31:25-31). He had been till then a coward who would not face situations but rather run away. That night, not only he prevailed against the angel of God. He had struggled against the angel and against himself and he won. As a result of his all-night wrestling with God, he was blessed and he also received a new name even though he paid a price; he came out wounded. And Jacob was changed that night.

Our Lord Jesus-Christ who is our EXAMPLE, spent whole nights in prayers (Luke 6:12). These long seasons of praying built him. His preferred place for prayers was on the mountain and also in the garden. The Apostle Paul also prayed day and night. The men who have most fully demonstrated the power of God in their lives and have affected the world powerfully have also been men who spent so much time with God. It is also important to note that when men sacrifice their comfort and sleep in order to spend that time in the presence of God, this is a powerful worship act. And if you want God to demonstrate His power through your life, you must pay a certain price. Just like our Lord Jesus-Christ spent the whole night in prayer on the night before He chose His disciples, you and I need to do the same in order for God to take us into a higher dimension.
