The Vision and Prophecy
Pastor first received a revelation from God about serving God outside of his country when he first joined Theology School. In a dream, he saw himself standing with the Dean of the Faculty of Theology and a helicopter came and picked him up and took him to the US to serve God. The second time, during his ordination, the Apostle Ignace Tambu Lukoki spoke upon his life declaring that he was being ordained to serve God in far away countries. This was in 2004. Then in 2002005, his Pastor spoken another word upon his life, stating that he would be going around the country of Congo and afterwards he would be travelling to a foreign country where he would serve God. The Pastor also said, "You are a seed from us we are sowing into the land of the United States to bear much fruit for the glory of God through the work you shall do there by the grace of God. Go and multiply". This was fulfilled when he worked for the Electoral Commision during the presidential elections in Congo and in his official capacity, he travelled throughout the country. After that, in 2007, he travelled to the US.
Shammah Church was born out of the call of God upon Pastor Beni-Christ Kibombi many years ago while he was still in his home country and confirmed through prophetic words as well as God's vision.

Shammah Church of Saint Louis is a church that is focused on seeking to enter into the presence of God. Because in the presence of God, man finds life. Through worship, praise, the preaching of the Word of God, Pastor Beni-Christ Kibombi endeavours to bring people into the presence of God. Without the presence of God, a church is just another gathering of people who just enjoy being together and rejoice in the praise and worship music without have the impact of the Holy Spirit upon their lives and without receiving any revelation from God. And without the presence of God, a church is dead. In fact, the essence of salvation is to bring the presence of God in man's life, where Jesus-Christ said that, "I and my Father will come and tabernacle in you".
Pastor Beni teaches people to seek this personal encounter, not only while at church, but throughout the day no matter what they are doint and where they are. Through this fellowship, God begins to speak to man, revealing to man secret things that man does not know (Jeremiah 33:3) and providing direction, instructions, and guidance for daily living and for personal ministry. The majority of believers has not developped this intimate relationship with God. Such believers only rely on the Word preached by their pastors, just like the people of Israel who preferred that Moses would go up the mountain to speak with God and then come down to instruct them (Deuteronomy 5:26-27). Such believers do not experience growth and their lives are no different from those of non-believers, except perhaps for the fact that they go to church and are active in certain aspects of church activities. Yet God is not interested in activities. He wants 'relationship', 'fellowship'.
Shammah Church of Saint Louis was established as a place where the French-Speaking Communities in the Saint Louis Area can come and worship God in French. Upon his arrival in Saint Louis, Missouri in 2007, Pastor Beni realized the difficulty he faced to fully and deeply participate in the worship service at church. And he learned that many others face the same difficulty, even though they can routinely communicate in English through the week. But Shammah Church was not born out of this challenge alone. And Shammah Church welcomes all people from all nations, all tongues, all races, and all backgrounds who want to come into the presence of God. The messages are generally interpreted in English. Shammah Church of Saint Louis is also a place where we share with all other communities our worship experience.
